TYPO #3 Japanese Blues

TYPO #3Japanese Blues

“I moved away from Japan because my music didn’t fit in with the stereotypical Japanese pop-culture. Now when I go the Yale to Jam, people wonder what a Japanese guy is doing there… and then they hear me play…”

Yuji Suzuki

Single Dad

“Growing up, I was taught that a man belongs working on cars and a woman belongs in the kitchen.”

Guprit Mann

Aja was so natural in front of the camera I could have shot with her all day πŸ™‚

You might have seen her work before. In fact, If you own any active wear from Vancouver based LIJA, then you may even be wearing it right now!
A Kwantlen graduate, she spent the last seven years designing for Lija, but most recently she’s one of the women responsible for
Bullet Collective

Her and Michelle Herbert launched March 1st. Though this is their first startup, Bullet got a pretty huge first contract. They’ll be designing the active wear for ROOTS!

Congratulations Bullet Collective!

Snake Christopher

Chrissy Danielle of Snake Christopher

So…I’ve been a little out of commission these days, but I’m back in the game and here’s some pictures to celebrate!

I was holding off to post these from a shoot in L.A. back in July because I wanted to share her music with you. Here we go!

Check out the new video:

I love shooting someone who is spontaneous, vivacious, hot as heck… and anyone who puts on a pair of cat ears. In fact, we went for lunch right after and she wore these to Panera.
I think they’re also in her new video πŸ™‚Β gotta get me some of those.

Don’t forget Snake Christopher plays the Viper Room this sunday the 28th in west hollywood! Come drink with us πŸ˜‰

So Simple

So back in July I went to LA to shoot two singers and I’ve been sooo excited to share, but was waiting for the albums to be released.

Here’s the first:
Michelle Carter-Leis “So Simple” available on itunes!
We shot in several locations–basically our shoot was like playtime. We had a little tea party. Went to the park… you know, climbed electrical towers etc πŸ™‚ Here’s a few of my favorites.

Ok, she’s a friend of mine so I can’t help but be completely biased, but hear me out… HER VOICE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!! Her music is authentic, soulful and refreshing, and the production by Michael Woodrum at Soundmoves Music Group in L.A. is top notch. I dare you to buy it πŸ˜‰
